Sample interview questions
Can you describe your experience with corporate travel operations and GDS systems?

I have over 5 years of experience in corporate travel operations, working extensively with GDS platforms like Sabre and Amadeus. I have used GDS to manage bookings, support customer-facing agency operations, and streamline processes to improve efficiency. This hands-on experience gives me a deep understanding of the technologies and workflows involved in business travel.

How do you approach stakeholder management when implementing a new process or technology?

I start by identifying all key stakeholders and understanding their needs and concerns. I then communicate the benefits and impact clearly, regularly updating them on progress and addressing any resistance through open dialogue. By involving stakeholders early and maintaining transparency, I ensure buy-in and a smoother implementation.

Describe a project where you had to coordinate resources across multiple teams. How did you ensure success?

In my previous role, I led a project to standardize travel booking processes across three regions. I coordinated with IT, operations, and local leaders by establishing clear roles, setting milestones, and holding regular meetings. I used project management tools to track progress and proactively resolved bottlenecks, resulting in on-time delivery and a 15% efficiency gain.

How do you analyze business issues to define the best solutions for productivity improvement?

I begin by gathering data and conducting root cause analysis, often using process mapping to visualize the workflow. I then engage frontline employees to understand pain points, and I evaluate potential solutions against cost, impact, and feasibility. I prioritize solutions that offer the highest productivity gains and align with organizational goals.

This role involves a mix of project and process responsibilities. How do you balance long-term initiatives with day-to-day tasks?

I prioritize by setting clear objectives and using agile methodologies to break work into manageable tasks. I allocate time for focused project work while remaining flexible for urgent operational needs. I also communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure that project milestones are met without neglecting immediate responsibilities.
