Cover letter sample

Dear Hiring Team,

I am excited to apply for the Senior Sales Executive role at SiteMinder, bringing SaaS sales experience and a consultative approach to helping hospitality businesses improve their commercial outcomes.

I am confident managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through product demonstrations, proposal development, negotiation, and close—while maintaining accurate CRM records and a strong customer experience.

With professional English and fluent German communication skills, I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to SiteMinder’s ambitious, collaborative sales organization and exceed growth targets.

Sample interview questions
How would you position SiteMinder to a hotel owner who is hesitant to change systems?

I would begin with structured discovery to understand the property’s booking channels, revenue-management workflow, operational pain points, and growth goals. I would then connect the most relevant SiteMinder capabilities to measurable outcomes, validate stakeholder priorities, and agree on clear next steps toward a tailored demonstration.

How do you manage a pipeline while owning the full sales cycle?

I manage a full funnel through disciplined prospecting, qualification, scheduled follow-ups, and CRM hygiene. I prioritize opportunities based on fit, urgency, stakeholder access, and next-step commitment, while reserving dedicated time each day for pipeline creation so future coverage remains healthy.

Describe how you maintain resilience after repeated sales objections or lost opportunities.

I use rejection as information rather than a personal setback. After a lost deal or difficult call, I review the objection, assess whether qualification or messaging could improve, seek coaching where useful, and quickly return to activity with a clear plan.

What is your approach to negotiating a SaaS contract while protecting profit margins?

I prepare by understanding the customer’s priorities, desired outcomes, and decision process, as well as the commercial boundaries available to me. During the discussion, I focus on value and mutual fit, use questions to uncover the real objection, and protect margin while finding a practical path to agreement.

What information do you consider essential to capture in a CRM after a prospect interaction?

I would record key discovery findings, stakeholder roles, opportunity stage, agreed actions, risks, product feedback, and a dated next step after every meaningful interaction. This creates reliable forecasting, enables productive coaching, and ensures a consistent handoff experience for customers.
