Sample interview questions
I research the company’s business model, technology stack, likely pain points, recent news, and relevant stakeholders. I then create a concise hypothesis about how the product may help and tailor the first message around that specific insight rather than using a generic pitch.
I would use discovery questions to understand whether the prospect has a relevant need, who participates in the decision, whether there is an available or planned budget, and the timing or trigger for a potential change. I would document the findings clearly and include them in the Account Executive handoff notes.
I would review the target-account quality, subject lines, personalization, value proposition, call-to-action, channel mix, and timing. I would test one or two variables at a time, compare results by segment, and apply the winning approach while sharing learnings with the team.
I structure my day around focused prospecting blocks, follow-up tasks, CRM administration, and review of activity metrics. I prepare for one-to-ones with results, blockers, and improvement ideas, and I use coaching feedback to set specific actions for the following week.
I would acknowledge that satisfaction and avoid pushing for an immediate switch. I would ask what they value most in their current setup and whether they face any future concerns around performance, reliability, support, security, or scaling, then position a short exploratory conversation only if there is a relevant reason to compare options.

- Keep HubSpot contact, company, and deal records clean and up to date with detailed activity notes.
- Accept and work leads assigned by members of the sales, revenue, and marketing organizations.
- Make process and tooling suggestions that improve outbound effectiveness.
- Own your 1:1s by preparing in advance, sharing updates, and taking action on coaching feedback.
