Sample interview questions
How do you convert a signed partner agreement into an operational plan?

I review each commercial and operational clause, translate it into measurable deliverables, owners, due dates, and escalation paths, and maintain these in a shared tracking system. I then confirm mutual understanding with the partner and internal teams during onboarding.

Describe how you would address a partner that is missing course-delivery or reporting obligations.

I would first validate the facts and the relevant agreement terms, then discuss the issue directly with the partner to identify root causes and agree on a documented corrective-action plan. If the risk persists, I would escalate internally and apply the contractual remedies or exit process as appropriate.

Which metrics would you use to evaluate an education partner program?

I would monitor registrations, course volume, revenue or revenue share, cancellation rates, renewal likelihood, reporting timeliness, participant satisfaction, NPS, and compliance with marketing and brand requirements. I would use trends across these measures to identify risks and improvement opportunities.

How do you influence cross-functional stakeholders when you do not have direct authority?

I establish a common view of the partner commitment, clarify each team's role and deadlines, and communicate the business impact of delays or risks. Regular operating reviews, concise status reporting, and early escalation help maintain accountability and alignment.

What is your approach to negotiating a partner agreement?

I prepare by understanding the partner's goals, financial model, operational capabilities, and non-negotiable requirements. During negotiation, I seek commercially sustainable terms with precise expectations for delivery, reporting, payment, brand use, and remedies, then ensure the final agreement can be executed in practice.
