Sample interview questions
I would first confirm the required metadata, naming conventions, retention rules, and migration priorities. I would then review documents systematically, identify duplicates or outdated versions, validate key fields, upload or prepare files according to the defined process, and maintain a tracker for exceptions and completion status.
I use controlled file access, follow established naming and storage conventions, verify recipients before sharing information, and avoid discussing sensitive matters outside approved channels. I also perform a final quality check on document versions, metadata, and permissions before completing a task.
I would triage requests by urgency, legal or business impact, deadline, and whether the request can be handled using an approved process or template. I would tag and route matters to the appropriate owner, acknowledge routine requests promptly, and keep a clear record of status and follow-up dates.
I would compare each item against the current approved template library and applicable retention guidance. I would archive outdated materials rather than delete them without authorization, flag unclear ownership or legal issues, and ensure that active folders contain only current, clearly labeled resources.
Legal operations combines structured process improvement with practical legal support, which is appealing because it helps legal teams serve the business efficiently. A SaaS environment also offers exposure to recurring contracts, privacy considerations, security reviews, and legal technology tools that build strong foundational experience.
