Sample interview questions
I would begin by identifying the few company-level outcomes that matter most, translating them into owned initiatives with measurable milestones, and setting a consistent review cadence. I would use lightweight dashboards and decision logs to surface blockers early, then continuously remove meetings or reports that do not improve accountability or decisions.
I would build a cohort-based model that connects acquisition channel, customer acquisition cost, conversion, repeat purchase behavior, retention, gross margin, and contribution margin. I would segment the analysis by customer and channel quality, validate attribution assumptions, and use the findings to guide acquisition investment, retention initiatives, and demand forecasts.
I would prioritize concrete workflows where AI can improve speed, accuracy, or decision quality, such as forecasting, reporting, research, and initiative tracking. I would partner with technical teams on reliable data foundations, pilot solutions with clear success metrics, provide practical enablement, and establish governance so adoption is useful, secure, and repeatable.
I would first decompose forecast error by product, channel, geography, time horizon, and key assumptions to distinguish data-quality issues from structural demand changes. I would then introduce leading indicators, scenario ranges, and a regular variance-review process that documents what changed, why it changed, and how the model should be updated.
I would frame the discussion around shared company outcomes, quantify the expected impact and resource requirements of each initiative, and make trade-offs explicit. After facilitating a decision, I would document the chosen priorities, owners, dependencies, and review dates so alignment is translated into accountable execution.
