About this role.
Ramp is seeking a senior Partner Consultant to help accounting firms, channel partners, and their clients adopt its finance SaaS platform. The role combines solutions consulting, technical accounting workflow design, partner enablement, sales support, and API integration architecture. The consultant will translate finance, ERP, HRIS, and identity-system requirements into scalable Ramp configurations and third-party integrations. Success requires strong accounting-domain credibility, customer-facing technical communication, and the ability to influence product and partner teams in a fast-paced environment.

Sample interview questions
I would begin with discovery to map the partner's business process, source-of-truth systems, data objects, controls, and reporting requirements. I would then define authentication, field mappings, event flows, error handling, reconciliation logic, rate-limit considerations, and testing criteria before documenting the architecture and validating it with technical and accounting stakeholders.
I would start with the business outcome, such as reducing manual coding, improving close accuracy, or creating more reliable spend visibility. Then I would use a simple workflow illustration to show what data moves, when it moves, who owns exceptions, and how the integration supports the partner's service model, reserving technical detail for the implementation team.
I would first understand the underlying business requirement and the risk or constraint driving the request. I would clearly explain the limitations and trade-offs, propose supported alternatives that meet the intended outcome, and document any genuine product gap with evidence for the product team rather than committing to an unsupported solution.
I would identify recurring client needs such as implementation, policy configuration, transaction review, coding support, month-end reconciliation, and reporting. I would then define repeatable service tiers, required Ramp capabilities, operational handoffs, success metrics, and enablement materials so the firm can deliver a scalable and consistently governed offering.
I would track partner certification or competency completion, time to first implementation, activation and adoption of key workflows, implementation quality, support escalation rates, partner-sourced pipeline, and customer outcomes such as close-process efficiency. I would review qualitative partner feedback alongside these metrics to identify training and product improvements.
About Ramp
Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
