About this role.
Worldly is hiring a Senior Manager/Director of Finance to report to the CFO and shape financial strategy for its global impact-intelligence SaaS platform. The role leads planning, forecasting, financial modeling, investor reporting, KPI tracking, and business-case analysis for product, pricing, operations, and acquisition decisions. Candidates need 5–10 years of progressive finance experience, growth-company exposure, and a strong command of US GAAP; SaaS, consulting, investment banking, PE, VC, or CFA experience is advantageous. This is a senior, remote US role requiring executive-level communication and the ability to convert complex financial data into actionable recommendations. The position offers a $160,000–$200,000 annual base salary, bonus potential, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

Sample interview questions
I would begin by aligning a driver-based model to the company's revenue, retention, headcount, gross-margin, and operating-expense assumptions. I would establish clear ownership for inputs, build scenario analysis for key uncertainties, and create a recurring forecast cadence that highlights material variances and recommended actions for leadership.
I frame the analysis around the decision required, the key assumptions, expected financial impact, risks, and alternatives. I use a concise narrative and a small set of decision-relevant metrics, then provide a clear recommendation while retaining supporting detail for stakeholders who need to examine the model.
I would prioritize ARR growth, net and gross revenue retention, new bookings, pipeline conversion, ACV, customer concentration, gross margin, customer acquisition efficiency, operating burn, and cash runway. The exact dashboard would connect these metrics to the company's strategic goals and investor-reporting requirements.
I would create a business case covering strategic fit, market opportunity, revenue and margin impact, implementation costs, cash requirements, key risks, and sensitivity scenarios. For an acquisition, I would also assess valuation, integration costs, synergies, customer overlap, and the expected path to value creation.
I focus on being a constructive partner rather than a gatekeeper: understanding the operating objective, agreeing on measurable assumptions, and making trade-offs transparent. I set clear controls and reporting standards, but use timely analysis and scenario planning to help teams move quickly with informed accountability.
