Sample interview questions
I start with the campaign's primary efficiency target, such as ROAS or cost per acquisition, and evaluate recent performance alongside conversion lag, audience saturation, and inventory or event availability. I scale gradually when performance exceeds target and there is evidence the results are incremental, while reducing spend when efficiency declines or marginal returns weaken.
I would define the business outcome, eligible audience, test duration, and a statistically meaningful holdout group before launch. After comparing conversion behavior between exposed and control groups, I would account for seasonality and other marketing activity, quantify incremental lift, and use the result to adjust budget and targeting decisions.
I would use a structured campaign taxonomy, reliable product feeds, and dynamic creative templates so inventory, dates, and pricing remain accurate at scale. I would prioritize events using demand, expected margin, inventory, and historical performance signals, while monitoring automated workflows for feed errors or underperforming segments.
I would assess blended acquisition efficiency, conversion lift, incremental revenue, marginal ROAS, new-user contribution, and cohort quality where available. These metrics help distinguish attributed conversions from true business impact and prevent overinvestment in audiences likely to convert without advertising.
I lead with the business implication, then use a small number of clear metrics and a concise visual or example to explain the evidence. I avoid platform jargon, state any limitations or assumptions, and finish with a specific recommended action and expected trade-off.
SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.
Social platforms are a critical component of SeatGeek’s marketing strategy, because we need to meet live event fans where they are. As an Analyst on the Paid Social and Programmatic team, you’ll play an integral role in growing a channel that spends eight figures annually across Meta, TikTok, Reddit and Snapchat. You’ll bring the inherent excitement and uniqueness of live events to fans in a way that has a direct impact on SeatGeek’s overall user and revenue growth.
You’ll use both sides of your brain. You’ll develop growth marketing strategies alongside designers, data scientists and engineers, then prove the value of those strategies through rigorous, hypothesis-led measurement. This is a channel where we run real incrementality studies rather than taking platform-reported numbers at face value, so you’ll be involved in building for, and measuring, success.
What you’ll do
- Day-to-day management of paid social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Reddit and Snapchat
- Manage variable budgets to maximize scale while hitting ROAS targets, leaning in when performance beats target and pulling back when it doesn’t
- Build and optimize per-performer campaigns for artists, teams and tours against a constant onsale calendar
- Run our dynamic and catalog-driven campaigns, working with product feeds and dynamic creative templates to keep thousands of live events served accurately
- Design and execute experiments and A/B tests across targeting, creative, copy and landing pages
- Contribute to incrementality and conversion lift studies with our Analytics team, helping design holdouts, interpret reads, and translate results into how we set budgets
- Partner with our Creative team on briefs and creative testing, and close the loop with performance results
- Work with Engineering on the internal tooling that automates campaign creation, helping define requirements and spot where automation is falling short
- Engage directly with our platform partners at Meta, TikTok, Reddit and Snap to push their capabilities toward our priorities rather than theirs
What you have
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years of hands-on experience running performance advertising, with meaningful time on Meta and at least one other major social platform
- Experience managing variable, performance-led budgets at scale, where spend flexes against a ROAS or efficiency target rather than being fixed upfront
- An analytical, data-driven background with a proven ability to pull insight and narrative out of large datasets
- Strong project and time management skills, so you can hold many campaigns and requests at once without dropping them
- Strong verbal and written communication. You’re at ease explaining a complex strategy to people who don’t live in the ad platforms
- Comfort with a data toolbox: spreadsheets plus a BI or analytics tool such as Looker or Hex
- Curiosity about measurement. You’ve asked whether a campaign was actually incremental, not just whether the platform reported a good number
- Interest in live entertainment and sports. Knowing who’s hot right now is a genuine advantage in this job
Perks
- Discretionary annual bonus
- Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely
- A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
- Unlimited PTO
- Up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave
- 401(k) matching
- Student loan matching program
- Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
- Up to $25k towards family building, reproductive health services and Gender-affirming care
- $500 per year for wellness expenses
- Subscriptions to Headspace (meditation), Headspace Care (therapy), and One Medical
- $360 per quarter to spend on tickets to live events
- Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music
The salary range for this role is $63,000 – $92,000 USD. In addition, you may receive a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
