About this role.
Luna Physical Therapy seeks a licensed Physical Therapist to manage the day-to-day operations of its Remote Therapeutic Monitoring Care Navigation team. The role leads employee and contractor performance, staffing, onboarding, scheduling, quality standards, and workflow accountability rather than providing direct patient care. Key responsibilities include improving RTM workflows, maintaining documentation and billing readiness, monitoring KPIs, and addressing operational risks. This manager will collaborate closely with Clinical, Concierge, Billing, Product, and Data partners to scale a high-quality remote care program. Success requires clinical operations leadership, familiarity with healthcare documentation and reimbursement processes, and a strongly data-driven management approach.

Sample interview questions
I begin by mapping the current workflow, gathering input from frontline staff, and identifying delay points, rework, and compliance risks. I then pilot a standardized process with clear ownership and measures such as turnaround time, completion rate, quality audits, and patient follow-up adherence. After reviewing results, I refine the process and document it in an SOP with training and ongoing monitoring.
I would translate program and CPT requirements into simple operational checklists, standardized documentation templates, and escalation rules. I would monitor completion and exception reporting routinely, partner with Billing and Clinical teams to resolve gaps, and use audits to identify recurring issues. The goal is to make compliant documentation part of the normal workflow rather than a retrospective cleanup activity.
I establish clear role definitions, coverage expectations, quality standards, and performance measures from the start. I use regular team huddles, individual coaching, transparent dashboards, and documented escalation paths to maintain alignment. I also tailor development plans to individual needs while holding everyone accountable for consistent patient and operational outcomes.
I would track enrollment and activation rates, patient engagement, adherence to required monitoring and follow-up activities, documentation completion, response and escalation timeliness, productivity, quality-audit results, and billing-readiness exceptions. I would review the metrics by team member, workflow stage, and patient cohort to distinguish capacity problems from process or training gaps. The KPI set should connect operational activity directly to patient experience, clinical follow-up, and program performance.
I first clarify the patient, compliance, and business impact of each issue and make dependencies visible to all stakeholders. I align on a shared decision framework, define an accountable owner and due dates, and communicate tradeoffs clearly. When priorities conflict, I escalate with data and a recommended path that protects patient safety, documentation integrity, and sustainable operations.
