Sample interview questions
Describe a multi-year enterprise SaaS deal you closed with a hospitality brand or similarly complex organization.

I would outline the account strategy, executive sponsors, technical and commercial stakeholders, pilot structure, procurement path, and measurable business case. I would also explain how I maintained momentum through the long cycle and converted the initial engagement into a broader rollout.

How would you prioritize active global-brand conversations against near-term opportunities with independent hotel groups?

I would run a two-horizon plan: protect strategic brand pursuits with account plans, milestones, and executive sponsorship while maintaining a separate, measurable pipeline for nearer-term enterprise independent-group revenue. This balances long-term platform positioning with the bookings needed to fund growth.

How do you earn credibility with a hotel brand's CIO, CTO, Chief Development Officer, and commercial leadership simultaneously?

I tailor the value narrative to each executive's priorities while maintaining one shared transformation case. For technology leaders, I focus on integration, security, reliability, and deployment; for development and commercial leaders, I focus on franchisee value, scalability, revenue impact, and brand consistency.

What approach would you take to turning a pilot into an enterprise rollout across a large hotel portfolio?

I would define success criteria, executive governance, rollout economics, integration requirements, and expansion decision points before the pilot begins. Throughout the pilot, I would document outcomes, resolve adoption risks early, and build a phased deployment plan that gives the customer confidence in operational delivery.

How have you transitioned from an individual contributor sales leader to building and coaching a team?

I set clear account segmentation, pipeline standards, qualification criteria, and deal-review cadences while continuing to lead the most strategic relationships personally. I coach through real opportunities, create repeatable playbooks, and progressively delegate account ownership as team capability and coverage expand.

  • Demonstrated patience and discipline in long sales cycles. You know how to build a pipeline that pays out in 18–24 months, and you know how to keep a team — and yourself — motivated through it.
  • Executive presence. You can hold your own in a boardroom with the CEO of a 1,000-property brand, and you can coach a rep through their first six-figure deal the same afternoon.
