Sample interview questions
I begin by defining ideal customer profiles and prioritizing accounts by need, urgency, and potential value. During discovery, I validate pain points, stakeholders, budget, decision process, and measurable outcomes, then build a tailored business case. I maintain next steps, risks, and close plans in the CRM to keep opportunities moving predictably.
I would identify the customer's metrics, economic buyer, decision criteria, decision process, pain, internal champion, and competing alternatives. For example, I would quantify the cost and risk of delayed immigration processes, confirm who owns the budget, and align the solution to HR or mobility objectives. This framework helps expose gaps early and creates an actionable mutual close plan.
I use documented qualification criteria rather than optimism, including stakeholder access, validated business pain, timeline, budget, and confirmed next steps. I review deal stages regularly, inspect conversion patterns, and flag risks such as missing executive sponsorship or legal-review delays. Forecasts should be grounded in CRM data, historical win rates, and clear close-date evidence.
For a CFO, I would emphasize financial impact, risk mitigation, cost predictability, and the return from faster talent mobility. For an HR or mobility leader, I would focus on employee experience, process visibility, compliance support, and operational efficiency. In both cases, I would tailor the message to the stakeholder's priorities while connecting the solution to shared business outcomes.
I establish a shared account plan that clarifies the customer's requirements, technical or legal questions, owners, deadlines, and risks. I bring Sales Engineering, Legal, Product, and Customer Success into the process at the appropriate time while remaining accountable for customer communication and deal momentum. After closing, I ensure a clean handoff with documented goals, stakeholders, commitments, and expansion opportunities.
