Sample interview questions
I prioritize inbound leads based on fit, urgency, and likely deal value while reserving structured time each week for targeted outbound work. I use performance data to adjust this balance so that near-term conversion does not come at the expense of future pipeline coverage.
I begin by establishing the prospect's goals, current process, stakeholders, and timeline. I then identify the business impact of the problem, validate qualification criteria, and connect the product's capabilities to measurable outcomes before agreeing on clear next steps.
I update CRM records immediately after meaningful interactions, document risks and next steps, and forecast based on verified customer commitments rather than optimism. I regularly review deal stage, stakeholder alignment, timing, and technical or commercial blockers to keep projections realistic.
In a prior role, I reviewed lost-deal patterns and found that several opportunities lacked early stakeholder mapping. I added a stakeholder-validation step to my qualification process, which improved deal progression and made forecast discussions more reliable.
I would communicate decisions, deal context, and requests in concise written updates with clear owners and deadlines. I also maintain organized CRM notes and reusable account plans so partners can quickly understand account status without needing additional meetings.
