Sample interview questions
I would review the customer’s current product use, business profile, prior interactions, and likely operational gaps before contacting them. During discovery, I would ask open questions about growth plans, customer-service challenges, and workflow friction, then link the most relevant Nextiva capability to a measurable outcome. I would confirm interest, address concerns, define next steps, and document the opportunity thoroughly in Salesforce.
I prioritize accounts based on opportunity value, engagement signals, urgency, and the next action required. I use structured call blocks, CRM tasks, templates that I personalize, and a consistent follow-up cadence across phone, email, and other approved channels. At the end of each day, I review pipeline movement and adjust my priorities to ensure no active opportunity is neglected.
In a previous customer-facing role, feedback showed that I was moving too quickly to solutions before fully understanding the customer’s situation. I began using a more structured discovery framework, pausing to summarize what I heard and asking one or two deeper questions before making recommendations. This improved the quality of my conversations and helped me create more productive next steps.
I would avoid technical jargon and start with the business outcome. For example, I might explain that AI can help a team respond faster, surface useful context from conversations, and reduce repetitive work so employees can focus more on customers. I would then tailor the example to the owner’s workflow and validate that the benefit addresses a problem they care about.
I would acknowledge their satisfaction and avoid forcing a pitch. I would ask what is working well, what they expect to change in their business over the next several months, and whether there are any customer-experience or team-efficiency goals they have not yet addressed. If no relevant need emerges, I would preserve the relationship, document the conversation, and schedule an appropriate future touchpoint.
