Sample interview questions
How would you evaluate whether a landing page is performing effectively?

I would start with the page’s primary conversion goal and review traffic source, conversion rate, bounce or engagement rate, click-through rate, and funnel drop-off points. I would segment results by device and campaign, form a hypothesis, and prioritize an A/B test with a measurable success criterion.

Describe how you would approach improving an underperforming category navigation experience.

I would review navigation paths, search behavior, category-level conversion, and exit rates to identify friction. I would then assess taxonomy, labels, product grouping, and mobile usability, propose a focused change, QA it thoroughly, and measure its impact after launch.

What steps would you take before publishing a promotional landing page and discount code?

I would confirm the campaign brief, offer rules, eligibility, dates, inventory considerations, tracking requirements, and approved creative. Before launch, I would test the page across devices, validate all links and messaging, test the code in checkout, and coordinate final approval with relevant stakeholders.

How do you manage multiple urgent campaign requests while protecting site quality?

I prioritize requests by revenue impact, launch deadline, customer impact, and effort, then communicate a clear delivery plan and trade-offs. I use standardized briefs, checklists, and QA procedures so speed does not lead to broken experiences or inaccurate promotions.

How would you work with Paid Media and Creative to ensure message consistency?

I would align on the audience, offer, value proposition, creative assets, and campaign destination early in the process. I would ensure ad copy, landing-page headlines, visuals, and promotional terms match closely, then share performance insights to improve future creative and page iterations.
