Sample interview questions
How would you build pipeline in a new enterprise territory with limited existing brand presence?

I would start by segmenting target accounts by industry, telemetry complexity, security maturity, and likelihood of an active SIEM or observability initiative. I would create account maps for technical, economic, and executive stakeholders; coordinate targeted outbound activity with partners and marketing; and measure weekly leading indicators such as new meetings, qualified opportunities, and multithreaded account engagement.

Describe how you use MEDDIC in a complex enterprise sales process.

I use MEDDIC to validate that an opportunity is real and winnable: measurable business impact, an identified economic buyer, clear decision criteria and process, compelling pain, an internal champion, and awareness of competition. I review these elements throughout the cycle, address gaps early, and use them to improve forecasting accuracy and close plans.

How would you position a telemetry platform to a CISO and to a hands-on security engineering team?

For a CISO, I would focus on risk reduction, operational resilience, cost control, and faster investigation outcomes. For security engineers, I would demonstrate practical technical value such as flexible data routing, pipeline control, interoperability with existing tools, and reduced friction in managing high-volume telemetry. I would connect both messages to a shared, quantified business case.

Tell us about your approach to negotiating favorable commercial terms with a large enterprise.

I prepare by understanding the customer's desired outcomes, procurement process, approval structure, alternatives, and the value we have created. I protect pricing by tying concessions to reciprocal commitments, such as term length, scope, timing, reference participation, or payment terms, while keeping the economic buyer engaged and documenting a mutual close plan.

How do you maintain an accurate forecast when managing long and complex sales cycles?

I forecast from verified customer actions rather than seller optimism. Each opportunity must have confirmed business pain, stakeholder alignment, a documented decision process, next steps with owners and dates, and validated commercial timing; I regularly inspect deal risks and categorize pipeline according to evidence-based close probability.
