Sample interview questions
How have you aligned sales, marketing, finance, and product teams around a unified revenue plan?

I establish a shared operating model with common funnel definitions, ownership, targets, planning assumptions, and a recurring executive review cadence. I use a single set of dashboards and documented decision rights so teams can identify gaps early and resolve trade-offs based on company-level revenue outcomes.

Describe a revenue forecasting process you built or improved.

I combined pipeline data, historical conversion and velocity trends, capacity assumptions, and rep-level judgment into a standardized forecast model. I also implemented stage inspection and variance reviews, which improved forecast accountability and gave leadership earlier visibility into risks and required actions.

How would you prioritize investments in GTM tools and systems across a global organization?

I would assess each investment against measurable business impact, user adoption, data quality, integration complexity, cost, and scalability across regions. I would then maintain a transparent roadmap that prioritizes foundational data and workflow improvements before localized enhancements, while involving frontline users in solution design.

What is your approach to leading managers and building a high-performing distributed team?

I set clear outcomes, operating rhythms, and decision boundaries while giving leaders ownership of their functions. I invest in regular coaching, talent calibration, inclusive hiring practices, and cross-functional exposure so managers can develop strategically as well as operationally.

How would you identify and address a shortfall against an annual revenue plan?

I would first isolate whether the gap is driven by capacity, pipeline generation, conversion, sales cycle length, retention, pricing, or forecast quality. I would quantify the gap by segment and region, align leadership on the highest-leverage interventions, assign owners and timelines, and track leading indicators weekly to determine whether the recovery plan is working.
