Sample interview questions
I would triangulate qualitative discovery findings with usage data, support themes, market context, revenue impact, and strategic alignment. I would define the target user, desired outcome, measurable success metrics, alternatives, and delivery risks before recommending an investment.
I use a transparent prioritization framework that weighs customer impact, strategic value, confidence, effort, risk, and time sensitivity. I align the trade-offs with Engineering and leadership, communicate what is not being prioritized and why, and revisit decisions as evidence changes.
I would begin with user research and workflow observation to identify pain points, decision points, and failure modes. Then I would facilitate collaborative solution exploration, validate prototypes with representative users, define clear acceptance criteria, and measure adoption, completion, and outcome quality after launch.
I would use a balanced set of adoption, engagement, workflow-completion, time-to-value, retention, support-volume, and customer-satisfaction metrics. Where relevant, I would also track security or risk outcomes, such as remediation speed, coverage, alert quality, and reduction in manual effort.
I would explain the shared business problem, bring customer evidence and data to the discussion, and make the decision trade-offs explicit. By involving stakeholders early, adapting communication to their priorities, and documenting a clear path forward, I would build alignment while maintaining accountability for the product outcome.
