Sample interview questions
I would create a readiness plan covering inventory, pricing, event configuration, marketing timing, customer-support preparation, stakeholder ownership, and escalation paths. Before launch, I would confirm dependencies with the promoter, venue, and internal teams, then monitor early sales and operational signals closely to address issues quickly.
I would review sales velocity, conversion, channel performance, inventory mix, pricing behavior, customer demand signals, and historical comparable events. I would turn those findings into practical recommendations, such as refining marketing activity, adjusting inventory strategy, improving onsale processes, or escalating commercial risks to the appropriate owners.
I use a portfolio view that ranks work by event timing, revenue impact, customer risk, and dependency urgency. I maintain clear trackers, establish accountable owners and deadlines, communicate status frequently, and escalate conflicts early when a decision or additional resources are needed.
I would respond promptly, acknowledge the concern, and clarify the specific performance indicators and expectations involved. I would share an objective assessment of the available data, coordinate the right internal partners to investigate actionable levers, and provide a clear follow-up plan with ownership and timing.
I would independently resolve routine execution issues where I have the data, authority, and an established playbook, while keeping relevant stakeholders informed. I would escalate issues involving significant revenue exposure, client commitments, product limitations, reputational risk, or decisions that require cross-functional leadership alignment.
