Sample interview questions
I would first map the current lifecycle, stakeholders, systems, handoffs, decision rights, and performance measures from campaign intake through measurement. I would then establish standardized stage gates, ownership through a RACI model, planning templates, SLAs, and a reporting cadence, while preserving appropriate flexibility for regional teams. I would pilot the model with a representative campaign, measure cycle time and quality improvements, and iterate before broader rollout.
I would combine workflow data, stakeholder interviews, and a process map to identify recurring delays, rework, approval bottlenecks, and unclear ownership. I would prioritize issues by business impact, frequency, and effort to resolve, then define targeted interventions such as intake standards, automation, clearer SLAs, or revised approval paths. I would track outcomes using metrics such as lead time, on-time launch rate, rework rate, and campaign performance.
I begin with a business question, such as where conversion declines or which audiences produce the strongest downstream outcomes. I analyze engagement, funnel conversion, channel contribution, and segment-level performance, validate the findings with relevant teams, and turn insights into testable hypotheses. I communicate the recommendation with clear implications, expected impact, and a measurement plan so leaders can make informed prioritization decisions.
A strong approach is to use AI to improve a defined workflow, such as audience prioritization, content variant generation, lead-routing quality, or campaign performance forecasting. I would establish a baseline, test the AI-enabled process against the prior method, and measure outcomes such as production time, engagement, conversion, or qualified-pipeline contribution. The key is pairing experimentation with governance, human review, and transparent reporting of the measurable business impact.
I create alignment by making goals, constraints, decision makers, and trade-offs explicit early in the process. I use structured planning forums, written decision documents, and shared success metrics to focus discussion on customer and business outcomes rather than individual preferences. When disagreement remains, I recommend a clear path, document the rationale, and ensure stakeholders understand ownership and next steps.

Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Marketing Strategy & Operations team is responsible for driving organizational effectiveness and leading transformational programs across Marketing, Self-serve, Startup and Sales Development. We create the processes and conditions that enable high performance across teams and help Stripe scale with focus and discipline.
We partner closely with the CMO, Marketing and Sales Development leadership team to define strategy, lead operational planning, and steward execution across global programs.
Our work spans cross-functional efforts that are critical to Stripe’s growth. From delivering strategic insights and frameworks to leading complex initiatives, we focus on what moves the needle most for the business. We care about results, not activity, and we have fun doing it. If you like hard problems, are analytical, and are an amazing teammate, we want to hear from you.
What you’ll do
As the Campaign Strategy & Operations Manager, you’ll own the operational foundation that powers Stripe’s global demand engine — building the systems, processes, and workflows that enable our marketing teams to move faster and perform better at scale. You’ll partner with the Global Campaigns, Demand, and Field Marketing teams to drive strategic planning, design operational processes such as budget management and resource planning, and collaborate across global, regional, and channel teams to execute the end-to-end campaign lifecycle.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the intersection of marketing strategy and operational execution — one where the work you build today shapes how the entire demand function operates for years to come.
Responsibilities
- Support the Global Campaigns, Demand and Field Marketing leadership team on operating cadences and processes, including monthly and quarterly business reviews, annual planning, budget and resource allocation, org-wide goal setting, and communications.
- Collaborate with global, regional, and channel teams to architect and implement scalable operating models to support the end-to-end campaign & event lifecycle, from initial strategy and planning through execution, measurement, and optimization, ensuring seamless integration across various functions and geographies
- Consistently monitor and analyze the campaign production & activation “supply chain” including tracking all key stages, handoffs, and friction points to drive meaningful efficiency gains
- Independently scope and lead strategic programs to solve high-impact problems. This includes developing frameworks, aligning stakeholders, and ensuring execution drives measurable outcomes.
- Track, analyze, and report out on key operational metrics and team performance, clearly communicating the health of the campaign & event supply chain, the impact of operational improvements, and the overall effectiveness of campaigns
- Leverage campaign and event analytics to do ad-hoc, deep-dives on user engagement patterns, conversion trends, and growth opportunities across the demand funnel. Use these insights to shape hypotheses, drive prioritization conversations, and identify areas to probe more deeply in partnership with Marketing, Finance and GTM teams.
- Bring clarity to ambiguity. You’ll navigate complexity, distill insight from noise, resolve issues quickly, and empower teams to make smart, confident decisions.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

- Proven expertise in partnering with regional teams and channel partners to build scalable, end-to-end demand generation workflows
- Proven ability to deploy AI-powered solutions within campaigns or demand generation with specific, measurable outcomes
- Experience working in highly cross-functional settings, and in a role that spans strategy, analysis, and operations in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills
- Appetite and ability to work through ambiguity with minimal guidance
- Strong change management background and ability to influence diverse stakeholder groups across global, regional, and technical teams
- Bachelor’s degree

- Deep understanding of marketing and how its varied disciplines work together
- Experience with project management tools such as Asana, Monday.com, or Jira
