Sample interview questions
How would you approach creating a customized client presentation when the sales request is vague and the deadline is short?

I would first clarify the meeting objective, audience, decision stage, and desired action with the account owner. I would then identify the most relevant approved messaging, request essential client data from Analytics, build a concise storyline, and share an early outline or draft for quick feedback before finalizing the design.

Describe how you turn data into a compelling sales story.

I begin with the customer’s business question rather than the available metrics. I select the few data points that demonstrate the problem, opportunity, or outcome, add clear context and visual hierarchy, and connect each insight to the value proposition and recommended next step.

What makes a sales deck effective for an executive audience?

An executive deck should be concise, customer-specific, and easy to scan. It should lead with the customer’s priorities, use evidence to support a clear recommendation, minimize dense text, and give the sales team simple talking points for each slide.

How do you manage competing requests from Sales and Marketing stakeholders?

I assess requests based on business impact, customer deadlines, effort, and dependencies, then communicate priorities and realistic delivery dates early. I use templates and reusable modules where appropriate, while reserving customization for high-value client needs.

How would you ensure collateral remains accurate and aligned with brand standards?

I would use approved messaging, current templates, and validated data sources, while maintaining a structured review process with relevant sales, marketing, legal, or analytics partners. I would also document reusable assets and updates so the broader commercial team can work from consistent materials.
