Sample interview questions
I begin by confirming strategic fit, customer needs, competitive position, revenue potential, delivery feasibility, resource availability, and contractual or security risks. I facilitate a structured go/no-go discussion with accountable stakeholders, document assumptions and risks, and ensure that the pursuit team has a clear rationale and executive alignment before committing resources.
I establish a detailed proposal plan for each pursuit, including response ownership, review gates, dependencies, risks, and a backward schedule from the submission deadline. I use regular status checkpoints and an action tracker to surface blockers early, then prioritize work based on deadline, strategic value, and dependency risk while protecting time for final compliance and editorial reviews.
I first clarify the evaluator’s priorities and the customer’s desired outcomes, then organize SME input around those needs rather than around internal product features. I edit for clear value messaging, evidence, and consistency, using executive summaries, proof points, and win themes to show why our approach is lower risk and more effective than alternatives.
I would quickly assess the impact on the proposal schedule and contact the contributor to understand the blocker and obtain a realistic completion time. If needed, I would escalate through the agreed governance path, identify an alternate SME or use approved reusable content as a temporary solution, and communicate the revised plan so the team can preserve review time and submission quality.
I use AI to accelerate tasks such as content discovery, first-draft structuring, summarization, gap analysis, and consistency checks, while retaining human accountability for accuracy, customer alignment, compliance, and final messaging. I also ensure sensitive information is handled only in approved tools and validate all generated material against source content and proposal requirements.
