Sample interview questions
I would first segment accounts by agency size, buying model, vertical focus, current technology stack, and revenue potential. I would define ICPs, assign account coverage, establish tailored value propositions for each segment, and set leading indicators for meetings, qualified pipeline, conversion, and new-logo wins.
I establish clear opportunity stages with objective exit criteria, inspect pipeline quality regularly, and use CRM data to identify slippage, weak conversion points, and coverage gaps. I combine quantitative forecasting with manager judgment and coach sellers to maintain accurate close dates, next steps, and stakeholder maps.
I would start with the agency’s commercial objective, such as improving campaign performance, audience reach, or planning efficiency, rather than leading with technical language. I would then connect specific AI capabilities to measurable outcomes, provide relevant proof points, and agree on a practical pilot or account plan.
I use regular deal reviews, call coaching, account-planning sessions, and metric-based development plans. Coaching focuses on prospecting quality, discovery, multithreading, business-case creation, and next-step discipline, while recognizing behaviors that create sustainable pipeline rather than only closed revenue.
I would clearly document the customer problem, commercial upside, required capabilities, decision timeline, and owners in a shared account plan. I would involve Product and Solutions early, communicate realistic commitments to the client, and ensure a structured handoff to Account Management once the opportunity closes.
