Sample interview questions
How would you develop positioning for a new risk advisory capability when the product roadmap is still evolving?

I would begin with customer, prospect, and internal stakeholder interviews to identify the highest-value problems, current alternatives, and language customers use. I would turn those insights into a positioning framework with a target audience, problem statement, differentiated value, proof points, and objection handling. I would validate the message with sales, solutions engineers, and a small customer set, then refine it as the product matures.

Describe how you would keep sales and customer success aligned when product features ship frequently.

I would establish a predictable release communication process that distinguishes customer-ready launches from smaller updates. Each relevant release would include a concise internal brief, customer-facing value narrative, enablement assets, demo guidance, FAQs, and clear guidance on which audiences should hear about it. I would also collect feedback after launches to identify adoption barriers and improve the next release cycle.

What metrics would you use to assess whether a product launch was successful?

I would define measures across readiness, market impact, and business outcomes. Examples include enablement completion and confidence, asset usage, pipeline influence, win-rate movement, feature adoption, customer retention signals, and qualitative feedback from prospects and account teams. The exact success metrics should be selected before launch based on the launch objective and target segment.

How would you create compelling customer proof for an audience of audit and advisory practitioners?

I would prioritize credible, practitioner-led stories that quantify operational impact while respecting confidentiality and compliance requirements. Through structured interviews, I would capture the initial workflow challenge, implementation context, measurable outcomes, and direct customer quotes. I would then adapt the proof into formats such as case studies, sales slides, webinars, and short testimonials for different stages of the buyer journey.

How would you approach leading a Customer Advisory Board program?

I would start by clarifying the program's strategic purpose, participant profile, and desired decisions or insights. I would build an annual cadence with thoughtful agendas, executive preparation, product feedback loops, and follow-up actions so members see that their input has influence. Success would be measured through member engagement, quality of actionable insights, retention of participants, and the number of product or GTM decisions informed by the program.
