Sample interview questions
How would you build a channel-first growth model for 1Password across Australia and New Zealand?

I would first segment the ANZ market by customer size, industry, buying route, and partner coverage. I would prioritize a focused set of distributors, resellers, and service providers, establish joint business plans and rules of engagement, and define measurable pipeline, enablement, and customer-adoption targets. Regular partner reviews would assess sourced pipeline, conversion, expansion, retention, and economics so investment follows demonstrated performance.

Describe how you would create a regional operating plan during your first 90 days.

I would begin with customer, partner, and internal stakeholder listening sessions to validate market opportunity, account ownership, competitive position, and operational gaps. I would then define revenue and pipeline targets, territory and role design, priority verticals, partner motions, forecast cadence, and a hiring plan. The result would be a practical plan with clear owners, leading indicators, risks, and quarterly milestones.

How do you maintain forecast accuracy while growing a new regional business?

I use a consistent operating cadence that combines stage-based pipeline inspection, qualification discipline, close-plan reviews, and inspection of partner-influenced opportunities. I separate commit, best-case, and pipeline views, inspect deal risks early, and use conversion, coverage, and sales-cycle data to improve predictability. Forecasting should be transparent and constructive, enabling action rather than simply reporting a number.

How would you engage CIOs and CISOs in a complex enterprise security sale?

I would anchor discussions in the customer’s identity, access, productivity, risk, and compliance priorities rather than lead with product features. I would map the buying committee, quantify business impact, align technical validation with executive outcomes, and develop a mutual action plan. For strategic accounts, I would remain actively involved as an executive sponsor while ensuring the broader account team owns day-to-day execution.

Tell us how you lead a cross-functional GTM team through ambiguity and rapid change.

I create clarity around shared outcomes, decision rights, operating rhythms, and handoffs across Sales, Channel, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing. I communicate context openly, use data to resolve priorities, and invite feedback early so teams can adapt without losing accountability. In periods of change, I remain visible, reinforce customer impact, and ensure individuals have the coaching and resources needed to execute.
