Core skills

Skills and capabilities most closely associated with this opportunity.

Sample interview questions
How have you managed a complex, multi-threaded enterprise sales cycle?

I map the buying committee early, identify technical, economic, and operational stakeholders, and confirm each person's priorities and decision criteria. I use a mutual action plan to align timelines, next steps, and risks, while maintaining executive sponsorship throughout the process.

Describe how you would position Paddle to a CTO evaluating payments infrastructure.

I would first understand the CTO's current stack, integration burden, compliance exposure, geographic expansion plans, and engineering constraints. I would then connect Paddle's Merchant of Record model to reduced operational complexity, consolidated payment responsibilities, and a faster path to serving global customers.

What is your approach to building self-sourced pipeline?

I focus on a defined ideal customer profile, use account research to identify relevant business triggers, and create targeted outreach based on each prospect's growth, monetization, or payments challenges. I combine disciplined outbound activity with partner, customer, and marketing signals, then measure conversion by segment to improve the approach.

Tell us about a time you exceeded quota in a challenging market.

In a difficult selling environment, I prioritized accounts with clear urgency and built stronger business cases around measurable outcomes rather than product features. By improving discovery, increasing executive engagement, and consistently advancing next steps, I increased conversion quality and exceeded my target.

How do you handle objections from technically sophisticated buyers?

I treat technical objections as opportunities to deepen discovery rather than immediately pushing a response. I clarify the underlying concern, involve the appropriate internal experts when needed, provide evidence such as architecture details or customer examples, and confirm that the proposed solution addresses the buyer's specific risk or requirement.
