AI Summary

The role, at a glance.

SeatGeek is hiring a Lead Product Manager to own the end-to-end fan acquisition and shopping journey, from marketing touchpoints through landing pages, event pages, and checkout. The role sets cross-functional product strategy for shared experiences such as price transparency, incentives, notifications, saved events, and trust signals. This leader will influence roadmaps across product, engineering, design, and marketing teams rather than manage a dedicated delivery squad. Success depends on strong funnel analysis, experimentation, customer discovery, AI-native prototyping, and the ability to secure alignment and execution through influence.

Sample interview questions
How would you identify and prioritize the largest opportunities in SeatGeek's fan journey across acquisition channels and product surfaces?

I would map the end-to-end journey by channel and device, establish a common funnel taxonomy, and quantify conversion, abandonment, and experience-quality metrics at each handoff. I would combine this with qualitative research and support signals, size the highest-impact gaps, and prioritize opportunities using expected customer impact, revenue impact, confidence, effort, and dependencies.

Describe a time you delivered an important product outcome through teams you did not directly manage.

I would explain the shared customer or business problem using data, align stakeholders on measurable success criteria, and turn the opportunity into well-scoped initiatives that fit partner roadmaps. Regular working sessions, transparent trade-offs, and visible progress reporting help sustain commitment while preserving each team's ownership.

How would you evaluate whether a landing page experience matches the intent of an ad, search result, or partner link?

I would define intent-based cohorts using channel, campaign, query, audience, and deep-link context, then assess message continuity, content relevance, availability, price clarity, and conversion. I would use controlled experiments alongside qualitative session review to distinguish relevance problems from usability or inventory problems.

What automated quality checks would you create for shared features such as pricing, incentives, and trust signals?

I would establish a canonical set of critical fan journeys and expected states across web, mobile, and deep links. Automated checks would validate pricing and fee display consistency, incentive eligibility, disclosure language, event information, and key conversion actions, with alerting for regressions and unusual funnel changes; AI-assisted evaluations could extend coverage to dynamic experiences.

How do you use AI tools responsibly in product discovery and delivery?

I use AI to accelerate research synthesis, generate prototype concepts, explore edge cases, and surface anomalies, while retaining human review for strategic decisions and customer-impacting outputs. I validate AI-generated findings against source data, protect sensitive information, and document workflows so teams can reproduce and improve them.

Opportunity details

About this role.

SeatGeek believes live events are powerful experiences that unite humans. With our technological savvy and fan-first attitude we’re simplifying and modernizing the ticketing industry.

By catering to both fans and rightsholders, we’re powering a new, open entertainment ecosystem where fans have effortless access to experiences, and venues have seamless access to their audiences. Because everyone should expect more from ticketing.

Most fans don’t start their ticket search on SeatGeek. They start with a conversation with ChatGPT, a Google search, an Instagram ad, a team’s website, an email, or a link from a friend. What happens in the first few seconds after they land decides whether they find their tickets with us or go back to searching.

Today that journey spans many surface areas and responsible teams. We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to focus on the end to end experience, from the first touchpoint through landing and onto the event page, including fans who leave and come back. Once fans land, you’ll also own the consistency of the features that follow them across every surface, such as price display and fee transparency, credits and incentives, notifications, saved and followed events, and our guarantee and trust signals. Fans meet these everywhere, yet no single team owns them.

This role doesn’t have its own squad. You’ll deliver through other teams’ roadmaps. That means setting the strategy, making the case, and partnering closely with PMs, engineering and design leads, and marketers to turn a fragmented journey into one experience. If you’re energized by impact through influence rather than direct ownership of a single surface, this role is for you.

What you’ll do

  • Drive the vision, strategy and metrics for how fans get from marketing channels (paid search, paid social, SEO, affiliates, partner links, email, push) through landing and through checkout
  • Stay on top of how discovery is changing, including AI assistants, AI-driven search and social commerce, and bring those opportunities to the right teams
  • Optimize the strategy for landing experiences (performer, venue, category and campaign pages, plus app deep links), so what fans see matches the ad, email or search that brought them
  • Lead the charge for cross-cutting features fans meet after they land, such as price display, credits and incentives, notifications, saved and followed events, and trust signals
  • Set up automated quality checks that keep the experience consistent as teams ship, from checks that price display, trust signals and other shared features match across surfaces, to evals for AI-powered experiences and AI agents that continuously walk key fan journeys. Use them to catch broken experiences, regressions and drop-off spikes before fans feel them
  • Map the full journey, find where fans drop off between teams, and build the case for fixing those gaps with data, research and clear sizing of the opportunity
  • Dig into the data yourself: analyze funnel, channel and experiment results, monitor journey metrics for shifts, and turn what you find into clear recommendations for partner teams
  • Run continuous discovery on the shopping experience, including fan research, data deep dives and competitive teardowns, and turn what you learn into a steady pipeline of ideas and experiments for partner teams
  • Shape the roadmaps of our Product and Marketing Teams. Bring prioritized, well-scoped opportunities into planning and get them committed
  • Run regular working sessions with partner teams to keep journey work aligned, sequenced and moving
  • Work AI-native: prototype ideas with AI coding tools to win buy-in from partner teams, use AI to synthesize research and data at speed, and share the workflows that work so other PMs adopt them
  • Champion the fan journey across the company, celebrate wins, and mentor junior members of the product team

What you have

  • 8+ years of product management in consumer e-commerce, marketplaces or travel, including work on acquisition funnels, landing experiences or growth
  • A proven ability to get work prioritized and shipped by teams you don’t manage
  • Working fluency in paid marketing, SEO, AI-driven discovery, and attribution
  • Strong experimentation, analytical and written communication skills
  • Experience with pricing, trust or design-system work that spans many surfaces, and strong attention to detail
  • Bonus: Experience using automation or AI tools to monitor product quality at scale
  • Bonus: live events or ticketing experience

Our stack

You absolutely do not need experience with all of these, but we thought you might be curious. Tools can be learned, so we care much more about your general engineering skill than knowledge of a particular language.

  • Languages: Python, Go, C#+.NET Core, Swift, Next.js, TypeScript
  • Client Platforms: iOS, Android, Web (Desktop/Mobile)
  • Technologies: OAuth2.0 & Identity Management, Payment Tokenization
  • Event-driven Technologies: RabbitMQ, Kafka
  • Datastores: Postgres, Redis, Memcache, Elasticsearch
  • Cloud: AWS
  • Version control: Git (Gitlab)

Perks

  • Equity stake
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Flexible work environment, allowing you to work as many days a week in the office as you’d like or 100% remotely
  • A WFH stipend to support your home office setup
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Up to 16 weeks of fully-paid family leave
  • 401(k) matching
  • Student loan matching program
  • Health, vision, dental, and life insurance
  • Up to $25k towards family building, reproductive health services and Gender-affirming care
  • $500 per year for wellness expenses
  • Subscriptions to Headspace (meditation), Headspace Care (therapy), and One Medical
  • $360 per quarter to spend on tickets to live events
  • Annual subscription to Spotify, Apple Music, or Amazon music

The salary range for this role is $152,000 – $220,000 USD. This role is equity eligible. In addition, you may receive a discretionary annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
