Sample interview questions
How would you prioritize new inventory partnership opportunities across ANZ and Japan?

I would score opportunities against addressable revenue, advertiser demand, inventory differentiation, technical feasibility, regulatory risk, partner fit, and expected time to launch. I would validate the ranking with Sales and Account Management demand signals, then build a phased plan for the highest-value partners.

Describe how you have negotiated a complex programmatic inventory agreement.

I would explain the commercial objective, partner incentives, pricing model, technical requirements, and governance terms used to reach agreement. A strong approach balances exclusivity or preferred access with measurable delivery commitments, transparent reporting, and clear escalation paths.

How do you address ambiguous or competing requests from Sales, Product, and supply partners?

I synthesize the inputs into a structured decision brief covering customer impact, revenue potential, operational effort, technical dependencies, and risks. I then recommend a clear path, identify trade-offs, assign owners, and communicate success metrics so stakeholders can align quickly.

What metrics would you use to evaluate the performance of an inventory partner?

I would monitor spend and revenue growth, win rate, bid density, fill rate, CPM and margin performance, viewability, brand-safety and fraud signals, campaign delivery, client adoption, and operational issue volume. Metrics should be segmented by format, buyer, market, and deal type to identify actionable opportunities.

How would your Japanese fluency contribute to success in this position?

Japanese fluency enables direct relationship-building, clearer negotiation, and faster interpretation of market nuance with local publishers, SSPs, and media owners. It also helps ensure that commercial and technical expectations are accurately communicated across Japanese and regional stakeholders.
