Sample interview questions
How would you create an integrated roadmap for People programs, systems, analytics, and AI?

I would begin with stakeholder interviews, an assessment of current processes and systems, and a clear inventory of data quality and capability gaps. I would prioritize initiatives using employee impact, business value, risk, effort, and dependencies, then define measurable outcomes, owners, governance, and phased delivery milestones.

How do you ensure responsible use of AI with sensitive employee data?

I establish clear use-case criteria, data-access controls, privacy and security reviews, human approval points, and ongoing monitoring for accuracy and bias. I would partner with Legal, Security, IT, and People leaders to document acceptable uses, prohibited uses, accountability, and escalation procedures.

Describe how you would improve trust in People analytics and reporting.

I would standardize critical definitions, assign data stewards, document calculation logic, and implement quality checks at source-system and reporting layers. I would also provide self-service dashboards with clear context and train leaders to interpret trends responsibly rather than relying on isolated metrics.

What approach would you take to implementing a new HR system or major integration?

I would define the target operating model and business requirements before selecting or configuring technology. The implementation would include data-migration validation, security review, integration testing, change communications, role-based training, adoption metrics, and a structured post-launch improvement cycle.

How do you lead a small team through a complex, high-ambiguity transformation?

I create clarity through shared outcomes, explicit decision rights, realistic sequencing, and regular operating rhythms. I coach team members to own their domains while removing cross-functional barriers, celebrating progress, and adapting plans transparently as new information emerges.
