Sample interview questions
I would begin with discovery questions about the site, threats, existing infrastructure, compliance needs, user workflows, and budget. I would then assess technical constraints, map requirements to suitable products, document assumptions, and validate the proposed architecture with the customer and internal sales team.
I would focus first on outcomes such as better visibility, faster incident response, and easier management rather than protocols or specifications. I would use a simple scenario and demonstration, then connect the technical features—such as remote access, event alerts, and video quality—to those business outcomes.
I would structure the session around product positioning, system architecture, installation practices, configuration, troubleshooting, and common deployment scenarios. I would include hands-on demonstrations, practical exercises, clear reference materials, and time for questions to confirm participants can apply the knowledge.
I would clearly explain the limitation, the associated risk, and the impact on the desired outcome without dismissing the customer's objective. I would then propose viable alternatives, compare their trade-offs, and work with the customer to select the option that best meets their underlying needs.
I would compare competitors objectively across relevant technical capabilities, deployment complexity, reliability, support, and total solution value. This information would help me position Ajax solutions accurately, address objections credibly, and provide product feedback to internal teams.
