Sample interview questions
I start by defining the ideal customer profile and reviewing firmographic, operational, and intent signals. I prioritize accounts with a clear use case, identify relevant operational and executive stakeholders, then build a sequenced outreach plan with tailored messaging and measurable next steps.
I would ask open questions about unplanned downtime, maintenance processes, asset criticality, production impact, and current monitoring tools. I would listen for measurable business consequences, confirm my understanding, and connect the prospect's stated challenges to the relevant value of condition monitoring before proposing a demonstration.
I would track quality outbound activity, connect and reply rates, meetings scheduled, meeting-show rates, qualified opportunities created, conversion by account segment, and CRM data completeness. Reviewing those metrics weekly helps identify whether messaging, targeting, cadence, or qualification needs adjustment.
I document each meaningful interaction immediately, use consistent fields and disposition rules, and verify contact and account details before advancing an opportunity. I also schedule regular pipeline reviews to remove duplicates, update next steps, and ensure handoffs include useful discovery context.
I would acknowledge their existing investment and ask how well it performs against their goals, such as reducing unexpected failures or gaining visibility into critical assets. Rather than forcing a pitch, I would look for gaps, changing priorities, or areas where AssetWatch could provide differentiated value and only pursue a meeting if there is a credible reason to continue.
