Sample interview questions
I would begin by validating the ICP, account tiering, buying-committee roles, intent signals, and pipeline goals with sales and operations. I would map a core message and content sequence to each buyer stage, coordinate channel activation across display, LinkedIn, email, webinars, and sales plays, then establish account-engagement and pipeline metrics. I would review results with sales regularly and adjust targeting, creative, and channel investment based on conversion data.
I use a funnel-based measurement framework that connects campaign reach and engagement to qualified opportunities, pipeline creation, conversion rates, velocity, and influenced revenue where attribution permits. I compare results against benchmarks, segment performance by account tier and persona, and identify where the funnel is weakening. The outcome should be clear recommendations, such as refining audiences, changing offers, or reallocating budget.
I involve sales partners early to validate account priorities, objections, timing, and messaging. For each campaign, I provide clear targeting guidance, concise messaging, suggested outreach sequences, relevant content, and recommended follow-up actions. I then maintain a feedback loop through recurring updates and use sales input to improve future programs.
I create a testing plan with a defined hypothesis, audience, success metric, control, and decision threshold before launch. I prioritize variables with meaningful potential impact, such as value proposition, audience segment, offer, or channel mix, rather than testing many small changes at once. After reviewing results, I document learnings and apply successful patterns to subsequent campaigns.
I use AI to accelerate first drafts of campaign briefs, persona research synthesis, content repurposing, personalization ideas, and performance-insight generation. I retain human review for brand alignment, factual accuracy, audience relevance, and compliance with messaging frameworks. AI is most valuable when it reduces manual work while leaving strategic decisions and quality control with the marketing team.
