Sample interview questions
How have you managed multiple technical implementation workstreams with competing timelines and dependencies?

I establish a shared delivery plan for each program with clear milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, and success criteria. I use a consistent operating cadence for status reviews and escalation, then prioritize issues based on customer impact, launch criticality, and cross-program dependencies.

Describe your experience with payments integrations and the technical concepts you would need to manage in this role.

I am comfortable coordinating work involving payment processing flows, card networks, ACH, APIs, data exchange, testing, and operational readiness. While solutions engineers own detailed technical design, I ensure scope, dependencies, decisions, and partner responsibilities are clear so technical issues are resolved quickly without compromising launch quality.

How do you handle a partner escalation that threatens a planned launch date?

I first clarify the facts, impact, owner, and decision deadline, then bring the appropriate internal and partner stakeholders together around options. I communicate a concise recovery plan that identifies the root issue, mitigation steps, trade-offs, and revised milestones, while maintaining regular updates until closure.

What would you do in your first 90 days to improve delivery consistency?

I would learn the existing implementation lifecycle and portfolio, build relationships with solutions engineering and cross-functional teams, and identify recurring sources of delay or ambiguity. I would then standardize practical artifacts such as scope templates, dependency trackers, risk registers, launch-readiness criteria, and executive status reporting.

How would you use AI tools to improve a delivery organization without reducing quality or security?

I would target low-risk, repeatable work such as meeting summaries, status-report drafts, action-item extraction, documentation organization, and risk-pattern analysis. Any use would follow approved security practices, retain human review for decisions and external communication, and be measured against concrete outcomes such as cycle time, clarity, and error reduction.

Who We Are

Imprint helps the world’s best brands grow the lifetime value of their customers. We started with co-branded credit cards and rebuilt them to be smarter, more rewarding, and brand-first. We partner with companies like Crate & Barrel, Rakuten, Booking.com, H-E-B, Fetch, and Shell to launch modern credit programs that deepen loyalty, unlock savings, and drive growth. But the card is just the beginning. We combine advanced payments infrastructure, intelligent underwriting, and deep customer data to create delightful and personalized experiences for members as well as efficient and profitable relationships for our brand partners. Our robust technology and world-class operations allow us and our brand partners to offer powerful financial products without becoming a bank.

In the U.S., co-branded cards alone account for over $300 billion in annual spend, and most still run on decades-old legacy bank systems. Imprint is the modern alternative: flexible, embeddable, and built for how people actually pay today. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, Thrive Capital, Ribbit, and Khosla Ventures, we’re building a world-class team to redefine how people pay and how brands grow. The team is led by our Head of Solutions Engineering and includes four Lead Solutions Engineers who own the technical execution of partner programs.

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Delivery Manager on the Solutions Engineering team, you will own the end-to-end delivery of partner implementations, ensuring our brand partners have a seamless experience throughout the delivery lifecycle. Technical Coordination:

  • Work closely with Lead Solutions Engineers to define integration scope, troubleshoot technical issues in real time, and guide partners through APIs, payment processing flows, and operational dependencies

Process and Tooling:

  • Build and refine delivery processes, frameworks, and reporting to increase visibility, reduce cycle time, and improve the consistency of partner implementations

  • Leverage AI tools and technologies to drive efficiency across the delivery lifecycle and champion their adoption across the team

  • Partner with product and engineering teams to drive delivery priorities, surface partner feedback, and ensure integration solutions are scalable and aligned with Imprint’s platform roadmap

Risk and Escalation Management:

  • Proactively identify delivery risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues with clear context and recommended solutions

Your First 90 Days

Within your first 90 days, you will be fully embedded in the Solutions Engineering team and independently owning a portfolio of partner implementations end to end. You will have built strong working relationships with Lead Solutions Engineers, product, engineering, and go-to-market stakeholders. You will be driving delivery cadences, stakeholder communication, and milestone tracking across your programs, and contributing to delivery playbooks and process improvements that raise the bar for how we implement.
