Sample interview questions
How would you identify and prioritize improvements in the tissue acquisition journey?

I would map the end-to-end journey across patients, clinics, pathology labs, and operations, then combine qualitative feedback with operational metrics such as turnaround time, completion rate, rework, and support volume. I would prioritize opportunities using expected user and business impact, urgency, implementation effort, risk, and alignment with strategic goals.

Describe how you turn a complex operational problem into an actionable product requirement.

I start by defining the user problem, affected workflows, desired outcomes, constraints, and measurable success criteria. I validate assumptions with subject-matter experts and users, then document the solution through a PRD, user flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and dependencies so delivery teams can make informed technical decisions.

Which KPIs would you use to evaluate a new tissue acquisition workflow feature?

I would use adoption and activation rates, time to complete key workflow steps, successful collection or submission rates, error and rework rates, SLA adherence, support-contact volume, and satisfaction feedback. I would segment results by user type to ensure gains for one group do not create friction for another.

How do you manage disagreement among operations, engineering, and commercial stakeholders?

I make the decision process transparent by grounding discussion in the customer problem, available data, operational impact, technical feasibility, and strategic priorities. When trade-offs remain, I document options and recommendations, align on a decision owner, and communicate the rationale and next steps clearly.

How would you work effectively with remote engineering teams during an agile product launch?

I would maintain a well-refined, prioritized backlog and ensure requirements, acceptance criteria, and decisions are documented and accessible. Regular planning, refinement, demos, and asynchronous updates would create shared context, while early risk reviews and stakeholder checkpoints would keep delivery aligned with operational readiness.
