Sample interview questions
I would first define the relevant funnel stages and confirm consistent lead-quality criteria. I would then segment performance by channel, campaign, geography, source, and time period, validate data quality, and identify where conversion or volume changed. From there, I would prioritize hypotheses by expected impact and run targeted experiments with clear success metrics.
I would map the current lead lifecycle, identify manual handoffs and data gaps, and define routing, enrichment, scoring, and SLA requirements with stakeholders. I would implement standardized workflows in the CRM and connected tools, add exception handling and ownership rules, and create dashboards to monitor speed-to-lead, acceptance, conversion, and failure rates. After launch, I would review adoption and iterate based on user feedback and performance data.
I would include lead volume, source mix, enrichment coverage, lead-response time, MQL-to-SQL conversion, pipeline creation, conversion by segment, campaign influence, rep or team capacity, and SLA adherence. The dashboard should support drill-down by channel, geography, customer segment, and time period so teams can identify actionable drivers rather than only view top-line results.
I start with the business decision, the key finding, and the expected impact. I use a concise narrative supported by a small number of clear visuals, explain material assumptions and limitations, and provide specific recommendations with owners and next steps. Detailed methodology is available as an appendix for stakeholders who need it.
I assess each request against revenue impact, urgency, strategic alignment, effort, dependencies, and whether it solves a repeatable problem. I make trade-offs visible through a shared prioritization framework and align stakeholders on what will be delivered, deferred, or converted into a smaller experiment. This keeps the team focused on high-leverage work while maintaining trust through transparent communication.
