Sample interview questions
How would you help a participant deliver speech that sounds natural rather than scripted?

I would set clear expectations, use a calm and encouraging tone, and give concise coaching between takes. I would focus feedback on pacing, intonation, clarity, and conversational authenticity without interrupting the participant unnecessarily.

What would you do if you noticed an audio-quality issue during a live recording session?

I would first identify whether the issue relates to the microphone, environment, connection, or recording settings. I would pause or redirect the session as needed, explain the corrective step clearly, verify the fix with a short test, and document any relevant issue.

How do you balance facilitation with quality monitoring during a four-hour session?

I use a structured checklist and monitor critical requirements continuously while keeping the interaction natural. I address issues promptly, take short notes for follow-up, and use planned breaks or transitions to review quality without disrupting the session flow.

How would you apply feedback received during calibration to independent production sessions?

I would translate calibration feedback into practical habits, such as consistent opening instructions, coaching language, technical checks, and escalation criteria. Before each production session, I would review the workflow and use a repeatable quality-control process.

Describe how you would handle a participant who is struggling with the recording instructions.

I would restate the instructions in simple, supportive language and demonstrate the expected approach if appropriate. I would break the task into manageable steps, confirm understanding, and adapt my coaching while ensuring the project requirements are still met.
