The role, at a glance.
This role combines movie and TV metadata quality assurance with the design and delivery of workflow automation and AI-assisted tools. The specialist will first learn operational processes, perform content review and testing, and then identify bottlenecks through workflow and performance analysis. Core technical work includes building maintainable solutions with Python, JavaScript, or equivalent scripting tools, alongside advanced spreadsheet automation. The position requires strong self-direction, clear English communication, and comfort with repetitive, high-volume work involving potentially sensitive media content. It is a remote, indefinite contract role for candidates located in Mexico.

Sample interview questions
I first mapped the manual steps and established a baseline for time spent, error rate, and throughput. I built a small proof of concept, validated it with users, then documented and deployed the solution. After release, I tracked the same metrics and used feedback to refine exceptions and improve adoption.
I would review workflow data, task volumes, turnaround times, rework rates, and common error categories. I would then speak with operators to understand pain points, rank opportunities by impact, complexity, and risk, and create a prioritized backlog. I would start with repeatable, rules-based tasks that have clear quality checks.
I define expected inputs, outputs, edge cases, and acceptance criteria before implementation. I test against representative and problematic examples, add logging and error handling, and keep a human review step for high-risk outputs. I also document the tool, monitor performance after deployment, and iterate when issues are found.
I would clarify the new objective, identify which tasks or assumptions are affected, and communicate trade-offs early to the project manager. I would reprioritize work based on urgency, quality risk, and expected impact, while keeping documentation current. This allows progress to continue without losing control of scope or quality.
I would avoid implementation jargon and focus on the current problem, proposed workflow, expected benefits, limitations, and success metrics. For example, I would show how the tool reduces repetitive checks, improves consistency, and preserves an approval step for exceptions. A short demonstration and a clear rollout plan would make the recommendation actionable.
