Sample interview questions
How would you translate LaunchDarkly’s company strategy into a cohesive corporate narrative?

I would begin with customer, market, analyst, and competitive insight to identify the most defensible strategic territory. I would then create a concise narrative platform with proof points, audience-specific message architecture, and clear executive talking points, ensuring every external channel reinforces the same story.

Describe how you have increased share of voice and thought leadership for a B2B technology company.

I have built integrated programs that combine executive bylines, media briefings, speaking opportunities, analyst engagement, owned content, and social amplification. I establish a baseline for share of voice and message pull-through, prioritize high-value conversations, and use performance data to refine the program over time.

How would you partner with product marketing and executive leadership during a major product launch?

I would align early on the strategic objective, target audience, differentiated positioning, and proof points. From there, I would coordinate launch messaging across executive communications, analysts, media, customer stories, social content, and speaking opportunities so the launch builds durable category credibility rather than creating a short-lived announcement.

What is your approach to managing analyst relations with firms such as Gartner and Forrester?

I treat analyst relations as a continuous strategic program rather than a series of briefings. I ensure analysts receive accurate product context, customer validation, market insight, and consistent executive access while capturing their feedback to improve our positioning, roadmap communication, and competitive understanding.

How do you evaluate the effectiveness of corporate communications?

I use a balanced measurement framework including share of voice, quality of coverage, message pull-through, analyst perception, executive visibility, audience engagement, and contribution to key business priorities. I pair quantitative reporting with qualitative market feedback so leadership can understand both reach and strategic influence.
