Sample interview questions
I establish a clear TMF plan and document index at study start, define ownership and submission timelines, and perform regular completeness and quality reviews. I track metrics, investigate gaps promptly, document risks, and escalate recurring non-compliance through the agreed governance process.
I would first review the submission trend and identify the underlying cause with the functional lead. I would clarify the expected documents, due dates, and quality requirements, agree on a corrective action plan, monitor progress through metrics, and escalate if the risk to TMF completeness or inspection readiness remains unresolved.
I would confirm TMF completeness, ensure periodic quality-review evidence and key TMF documents are filed, review open issues and risk logs, and coordinate responses with the study team. I would prepare concise status information, support interview readiness, and ensure all actions and responses are documented appropriately.
I prioritize according to patient safety, regulatory risk, inspection readiness, study milestones, and agreed document due dates. I use a structured tracker for open items and dependencies, communicate early when capacity risks emerge, and align priorities with the project manager and TMF management.
I would provide practical guidance on TMF plans, quality review standards, escalation pathways, and use of the eTMF system. I would review challenging cases with them, explain the regulatory rationale behind decisions, give timely feedback, and gradually increase their ownership while remaining available for support.
