Sample interview questions
How would you structure an initial in-practice training session for a team adopting intraoral scanning?

I would begin by assessing the team's current workflow, equipment readiness, and clinical goals. I would demonstrate the end-to-end scanning process, facilitate supervised hands-on practice, observe technique and workflow bottlenecks, and tailor coaching by role. Before leaving, I would confirm clear next steps, identify an internal champion, and establish measures for early case submission.

Describe how you adapt your training approach when a dental team has mixed confidence levels with new technology.

I segment the learning experience by proficiency and role, using simple foundational instruction for less experienced users while providing advanced workflow coaching to confident adopters. Live observation helps me identify who needs additional practice, and I create a supportive environment where questions are welcomed. I also provide practical reference materials and targeted follow-up to reinforce adoption.

How would you address a practice that completes training but does not begin submitting cases afterward?

I would review the first 30 days of activity to identify whether the issue is clinical confidence, workflow ownership, equipment setup, or an operational blocker. I would reconnect with the practice leader and clinical users, deliver focused coaching on the specific barrier, and agree on a short action plan with measurable submission goals. I would also share recurring insights internally so the onboarding process can be improved.

How do you maintain training quality while managing an 85% travel schedule?

I plan travel around practice priority, readiness, and geographic efficiency while protecting adequate preparation and follow-up time for each engagement. I use standardized checklists, training templates, and clear documentation to ensure consistency without losing the ability to personalize instruction. Regular communication with internal partners helps me anticipate issues before arriving on site.

Give an example of how you would influence an executive stakeholder and clinical staff toward the same adoption goal.

I would connect the goal to the outcomes each audience values: clinical quality and confidence for providers, efficient workflows for staff, and practice growth or operational consistency for leaders. I would use observed workflow data and concrete examples to show the impact of adoption. By establishing shared success metrics, I can align stakeholders around practical actions rather than relying on generic technology advocacy.
