Sample interview questions
I have maintained project plans, coordinated resource inputs, prepared status reports, monitored risks and dependencies, and ensured that decision-makers had accurate information. This allows the project lead to focus on delivery and stakeholder decisions while retaining clear governance.
I would define ownership for key fields, establish regular update cadences, validate milestones and forecast data against source systems, and use exception reporting to identify incomplete or inconsistent records. I would also document data definitions so project teams report consistently.
I identify delivery, dependency, capacity, scope, and data risks early; assess their likelihood and impact; assign owners; and track mitigation actions through regular reviews. I escalate material risks with a concise explanation of impact, options, and recommended next steps.
I would provide a concise view of overall health, major milestones, budget or effort status, resource outlook, top risks, dependencies, decisions needed, and next-period priorities. The update would focus on variances and actions rather than repeating operational detail.
I would verify the underlying facts with the relevant owners, distinguish confirmed facts from assumptions, and document any remaining open points. If a conflict affects delivery or decisions, I would raise it promptly with a neutral summary and a proposed path to resolution.
