In this role, you will support financial planning and finance systems implementation. This is an entry-level role where you will help teams plan with confidence and report accurately — helping LastPass deliver on its mission to give everyone seamless access to everything they need to work, move fast, and stay protected.
About the Team:
The Finance team partners with business leaders across LastPass to turn plans into measurable results. Our analysts build forecasts, review spending and headcount, and keep reporting accurate. The team is also modernizing its planning and reporting tools, giving you hands-on exposure to both everyday FP&A work and a major systems implementation.
If you are passionate about complex problem solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you!
Who will you work with?
You will work primarily with the Human Resources and Legal teams, supporting their planning and reporting needs alongside senior Finance partners. You will also collaborate with the wider Finance and Accounting teams, IT, and the implementation specialists rolling out new budgeting and forecasting software, learning from peers across each group.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- Support HR and Legal leaders with forecast updates, purchase and headcount approvals, and data reconciliations to keep operational plans on track
- Assist other departments with forecasting and reconciliation work to keep reporting consistent across LastPass
- Support implementation of new FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting software, working with Finance, Accounting, IT, and external partners to resolve issues and improve workflows
- Gather business requirements from Finance stakeholders and translate them into system specifications
- Validate data migrations, data mappings, and reporting outputs to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Document current-state and future-state financial processes to guide system design
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve financial reporting efficiency
- Prepare presentation materials and assist with ad-hoc strategic and operational projects for Finance leadership

- Proven experience using AI tools such as Claude and Copilot
- Understanding of SaaS and go-to-market metrics

Sample interview questions
I would first confirm that actuals and forecast data use consistent periods, cost centers, and account mappings. I would identify material variances, trace them to source transactions or assumptions, discuss drivers with the department owner, and document recommended forecast updates.
Net income from the income statement flows into retained earnings on the balance sheet and is the starting point for operating cash flow on the cash flow statement. Non-cash expenses, working-capital movements, investing activity, and financing activity explain the movement in cash and balance-sheet accounts.
I would define control totals and key validation rules before migration, then compare record counts, balances, hierarchies, mappings, and reporting outputs between source and target systems. I would investigate exceptions, retain an audit trail of fixes, and obtain stakeholder sign-off after user acceptance testing.
I would clarify the business objective, users, decisions supported, required inputs, calculation logic, outputs, timing, and controls. I would document these in clear requirements and examples, review them with Finance and technical partners, and confirm acceptance criteria before configuration or development begins.
They can help draft documentation, summarize non-sensitive information, create formula ideas, and structure analyses, but outputs must be validated against source data and finance controls. I would follow company data-security policies and avoid entering confidential financial or personal information into tools that are not approved for that use.
