Sample interview questions
I follow a documented close checklist, reconcile balance-sheet accounts to supporting documentation, investigate variances promptly, and perform a final review for completeness and consistency before submitting reports.
I have supported the collection and review of client records, preparation of workpapers and schedules, completion of return data, and resolution of missing information. I focus on maintaining organized documentation and escalating technical tax questions when appropriate.
I prioritize work by filing and close deadlines, complexity, and dependency on client information. I use task tracking, communicate early about missing documents or risks, and provide regular status updates so expectations remain clear.
I would confirm the service scope, gather prior financial records and access to relevant systems, establish the chart of accounts and reporting requirements, review opening balances, and communicate a clear timeline and document-request process to the client.
I can communicate accounting requests, deadlines, and financial information clearly with Turkish-speaking and English-speaking clients. This helps reduce misunderstandings, strengthens client relationships, and supports accurate collection of the information needed for accounting and tax work.
