About this role.
CoderPad‘s mission is to surface a person’s skills in order to form badass teams that create impactful companies.
What does a Commercial Account Executive at CoderPad do?
CoderPad helps companies hire with confidence. As the global leader in technical interviewing, serving 4,000+ customers across 165+ countries, we’re transforming how organizations evaluate talent and make better hiring decisions.
We’re entering an exciting new chapter, expanding beyond technical hiring and embracing AI to transform both our products and how we work.
As a Commercial Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for winning new business, building relationships with Talent Acquisition and Engineering leaders, and helping companies modernize their hiring processes.
This is a true hunter role. You’ll own the full sales cycle, from generating pipeline to closing deals, and leverage AI and modern sales tools to work smarter, move faster, and deliver results.
We are looking for a Commercial Account Executive to join our Net New Sales team. This is a remote, US-based role reporting to our Net New Sales Manager, with the expectation that you work East Coast (Eastern Time) hours.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own the full sales cycle: Prospect, qualify, demonstrate, negotiate, and close new business opportunities within commercial accounts.
- Build your own pipeline: Execute creative, targeted outbound strategies across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate new opportunities.
- Leverage AI to sell smarter: Use AI-powered tools to research accounts, personalize outreach, improve sales workflows, and accelerate pipeline generation.
- Lead consultative sales conversations: Engage Talent Acquisition, Engineering, and business leaders to understand their hiring challenges and demonstrate CoderPad’s value.
Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Development, and other teams to identify opportunities, execute campaigns, and improve conversion.
- Own your results: Consistently achieve pipeline generation, activity, and revenue targets while maintaining strong deal discipline and accurate forecasting.
- Help shape our future: Bring customer insights, competitive intelligence, and new ideas to help improve our products, sales processes, and go-to-market strategy.
What you should bring:
- 3+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least 1 year in a closing Account Executive role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding quota.
A true hunter mentality: You enjoy prospecting, creating opportunities from scratch, and taking ownership of your pipeline and results.
- AI fluency and curiosity: You’re excited to experiment with AI tools, incorporate them into your daily workflows, and continuously find ways to improve your effectiveness.
- Strong consultative selling skills: You can uncover customer challenges, engage multiple stakeholders, articulate business value, and confidently navigate deals from discovery to close.
- A collaborative, team-first approach: You bring energy, accountability, and a willingness to share what works and learn from others.
- An entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset: You thrive in fast-moving environments, take initiative, embrace feedback, and are comfortable testing new approaches.

Sample interview questions
I segment accounts by fit, trigger events, and buying potential, then develop multichannel outreach sequences. I track conversion at each stage, test messaging regularly, and focus my time on segments that produce qualified meetings and opportunities.
I begin by clarifying the business outcome, current hiring workflow, and the cost of the existing problem. I ask role-specific questions for each stakeholder, confirm decision criteria and process, and connect the solution to measurable improvements such as interview consistency, hiring speed, and candidate quality.
I use AI to research account context, identify relevant signals, draft tailored outreach, and summarize call notes. I validate all outputs, preserve a human and accurate message, and use the time saved to increase thoughtful prospecting and follow-up quality.
I define clear exit criteria for every stage, document stakeholder roles and next steps, and challenge assumptions about timing and budget. I review deal risks frequently and separate committed opportunities from early-stage or unvalidated pipeline.
I first acknowledge the concern and ask questions to understand its underlying cause rather than immediately countering it. I then bring relevant evidence, quantify the impact of inaction where possible, and work with the buyer to agree on a practical next step that reduces perceived risk.
