About the Role:
As a Channel Manager at Lyra Health, you will operate as the general manager and strategic commercial driver for a portfolio of key health plan and other co-selling partner relationships (including but not limited to large payer organizations). In this role, you are not just maintaining existing relationships—you are directly responsible for end-to-end partner growth, strategic alignment, deal strategy, and joint commercial execution.
You will combine sharp sales acumen with rigorous cross-functional project leadership to co-sell, architect winning deal strategies, and expand Lyra’s footprint across partner ecosystems. You are expected to proactively identify growth opportunities, lead joint go-to-market (GTM) initiatives, and directly drive new Annual Contract Value (ACV) bookings by embedding Lyra deeply into your partners’ core commercial strategy.
Responsibilities
1. Deal Strategy & Co-Selling Leadership
Actively manage multiple sales motions (co-selling, reselling, etc.) alongside partner sales reps and internal Lyra Employer Solutions Sales on opportunities, architecting tailored deal strategies and value propositions to maximize deal size and ACV.
Serve as a strategic deal consultant to guide sales teams on navigating complex health plan partner sales motions, overcoming competitive threats, and positioning Lyra effectively.
Identify and unblock deal friction throughout the buyer journey to accelerate deal velocity and boost close rates across indirect channels.
2. End-to-End Partnership Ownership & Strategy
Serve as the ultimate business owner for your assigned partner portfolio, orchestrating long-term partnership strategy, quarterly executive business reviews (QBRs), and joint annual revenue plans.
Proactively manage the overall health, performance, and strategic alignment of each partner account—from initial onboarding and co-marketing to ongoing integration, retention, and commercial expansion.
Establish multi-year partner growth roadmaps that align partner incentives with Lyra’s overarching commercial goals.
3. Cross-Functional Project Leadership
Mobilize and lead cross-functional project teams across Product, Marketing, Sales Engineering, Legal, and Customer Success to execute complex strategic initiatives on schedule.
Lead high-impact projects (e.g., custom product integrations, GTM product launches, new partner packaging/pricing tier launches) from initial scoping to execution.
Drive accountability across both internal departments and external partner stakeholders to ensure seamless operational execution.
4. Proactive Growth, Initiative & Channel Analytics
Identify untapped market segments, prospective account lists, and novel positioning strategies within your partner accounts to unlock new revenue streams.
Establish, analyze, and report on core channel metrics (pipeline generation, win rates, ACV influence, partner-sourced opportunities, deal velocity).
Use performance data and CRM tools to continuously refine partner strategy, optimize sales enablement, and address operational bottlenecks.
Qualifications
8+ years of combined experience in direct enterprise sales (Quota-carrying AE/AM), strategic partner management, or channel business development within health plans, SaaS, employer benefits tech, or digital health.
Deep health plan expertise & political acumen: Substantial experience operating inside or alongside large health plan organizations, with a proven ability to navigate complex partner bureaucracies, leverage existing health plan sales infrastructure, and cultivate trusted relationships with senior client-facing executives.
Proven track record of quota ownership or direct accountability for revenue targets (New ACV, partner-influenced revenue).
Demonstrated deal-level strategy skills: Deep understanding of enterprise B2B sales cycles, multi-stakeholder navigation, consultative selling, and competitive deal positioning.
Exceptional project leadership & ownership: Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives, manage dependencies, drive accountability, and bring projects across the finish line independently.
Entrepreneurial initiative: A proactive self-starter who takes complete ownership of their portfolio, builds partnership strategies, and proactively solves systemic blockers.
Strong financial and business acumen with comfort analyzing CRM data and pipeline performance to make strategic decisions.
Ability and willingness to travel 50%
Bachelor’s degree required; prior experience in employer-sponsored healthcare, behavioral health, or health plan distribution is strongly preferred.

Sample interview questions
I would explain the partner's starting position, identify the commercial gap or customer segment we prioritized, and outline the joint account, enablement, and pipeline plan I created. I would quantify outcomes such as partner-sourced pipeline, win rate, ACV, or renewal growth and describe how I sustained executive alignment.
I map each stakeholder's incentives, decision criteria, risks, and economic objectives, then establish a shared value proposition and mutual action plan. I clarify ownership, escalation paths, and success metrics early, while tailoring the commercial narrative to the buyer without compromising the partner relationship.
I would track partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline, conversion rates, ACV, sales-cycle duration, attach rates, active seller engagement, and forecast accuracy. I would pair these measures with qualitative account health indicators, then use the findings to focus enablement, executive sponsorship, and joint GTM resources.
I would establish a clear scope, business case, accountable owners, milestones, and dependency log from the outset. Through regular operating reviews and transparent risk escalation, I would align Product, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and customer-facing teams around the commercial outcome and adjust the plan when constraints emerged.
I would first diagnose whether the issue stems from partner engagement, positioning, enablement, target-account selection, process friction, or market conditions. I would review funnel data with the partner, agree on a focused recovery plan with measurable weekly leading indicators, and involve executive sponsors if structural barriers require higher-level intervention.
