Position summary

As a mission-driven and inspirational Chief Financial Officer, you are a Business partner to the CEO and the executive team.

The CFO role will suit a dynamic and business minded finance leader, experienced in guiding a scaleup technology companies through continued hyper-growth and rapid international expansion.

The CFO should have the gravitas and leadership qualities to act as a key member of a leadership team, but also lead the global financial team and enjoy detailed analysis skillset to refine processes and drive profitability.

Platform.sh is looking for someone who thinks out of the box and is an agile thinker who is both detail and process-oriented.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with tier-one investors and operating across multiple jurisdictions.

What you bring

• The ability to challenge and engage in debate in a respectful and healthy way: being a peer to the management team as a decision-maker in the business, understanding go-to-market dynamics, SaaS Metrics & KPIs, industry benchmarks, etc
• Financial Communication: the ability to manage tier 1 investors, talk to new potential investors, see the ‘big picture’, be articulate & sharp
• Honesty & integrity: you do not cut corners with regard to ethics. You earn trust and maintain confidence. Do what is right. Speak plainly and truthfully
• Gravitas and leadership qualities to lead the finance team
• Proven experience in driving a business to profitability
• The ability to build and lead a business strategy and business planning
• Extensive Operational Finance experience: systems, procedures, controls, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, investment strategy across all functions, etc
• Experience in M&A (both ways)
• Experience in Fundraising
• International experience: US + Europe
• 10-15 years in Finance Leadership roles
• English: native speaker level

Bonus points for

• Experience in IPO
• Checking all B2B, SaaS, VC Backed cases
• Legal & tax to deal with international expansion
• Fluency in French is a plus

You can expect 6 interviews on Google Meet. You will have the opportunity to meet with a variety of Platformers throughout the interview process. You’ll also have the opportunity to schedule virtual coffee chats with potential future peers to see if you can envision working together. Use interview and coffee time to make sure the company aligns with what you’re looking for in your future working environment.

Expect a higher number of interviews for director-level roles and above.
