As a Front-End Web Designer on the Granicus Web Services team you will use a combination of HTML, CSS, PHP, Smarty, JavaScript, Regular Expression, and Crystal Reports to create, validate, and deploy successful HTML, Word, Crystal Reports, and others, based templates for our clients. You will work with clients from start to finish – assessing their current documents and systems, addressing questions and requests as they arise, and implementing/creating templates based on your assessments. You will also provide support and troubleshoot issues with clients.

We are seeking a candidate with proven communication and technical abilities who has an interest in growing as a technical leader with a high-tech company. A high attention to detail and a solid understanding of layout and document design concepts is also desired.

Granicus is a remote first company (this isn’t temporary). While we have virtual teams, you have the option for in-office work should you be located near one of our hubs.

What You’ll Do:

• Create, validate, and maintain templates for clients utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XAML, PHP, Smarty, Crystal Reports, Regular Expressions, and other in-house technologies.
• Work with clients to identify and implement specific branding, style, and formatting elements into Granicus software and templates.
• Provide mockups and examples and walk clients through them as needed.
• Prioritize requests and respond accordingly on daily basis.
• Respond quickly and professionally to client inquiries.
• Collaborate with Support, Project Management, and Development teams as needed to resolve client issues and improve Granicus products.
• Build and maintain internal documentation regarding standard methods and processes.
• Serve as an internal expert on design and integration issues, providing guidance and expertise to various teams in the Granicus organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

Who You Are:

• You have hands-on Front-End Web Design/Development experience.
• You can work with the following technologies, languages, and design tools:
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Photoshop, Illustrator, Crystal Reports, PHP, Smarty, Regular Expression, CMS, utilizing APIs, web site deployments and SQL.
• You have a passion for problem solving and constant improvement.
• You have strong communication & interpersonal skills – ability to listen to clients, provide guidance, and provide them with a clear path to resolution.
• You have strong organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• You have strong attention to detail with a focus on high-quality deliverables.
• You have an interest in accessibility or experience with ADA/ WCAG web specifications
