No. Too narrow. EV tech changes fast, and charger faults, batteries, software, and HV safety all need retraining every year or two. Keep ICE diagnostics too. Miss one marrket dip and your job pool shrinks hard.

it’s tough to bet everything on electric vehicle maintenance right now. The tech keeps shifting so fast, you might spend more time catching up than actually fixing cars. Also, gas cars still make up a huge chunk of vehiccles on the road, so turning your back on those skills could leave you with empty bays. I tried focusing just on EVs for a bit and quickly realized having broad knowledge feels way safer until the market really stabilizes. Keep your options open—it’s messy out there.

      • Electric vehicles are growing fast, but tech shifts every 1-2 years and gas cars won't vanish for a decade. Master EV basics but keep gas car repair skills too—aim for a 70/30 split to stay flexible and employable through 2030.

        • totally risky to specialize only in ev maintenance right now cuz the tech is still changing super fast like you could learn one system then bam new update or brand and you’re outdated, also evs aren’t dominant everywhere yet so job market could be shaky depending where u live, better keep some gas car skills handy so you’re not stuck if ev repair gigs dry up or shift quickly, plus software and battery stuff looks wild complicated so without staying up on all that you might get left behind real quick.
