Description:
Been grooming dogs for 4 years and Iโm torn between staying in my current salon role or taking a training certification path. I already work closely with anxious dogs and owners, and I keep getting told Iโd be good at behavior work. The grooming job is stable, but Iโm starting to feel boxed in. Iโm trying to decide whether I should keep building here and aim for a senior grooming role, or invest time and money into dog training and try to switch careers. What would make the most sense for long-term growth?

Grooming gives u the trust-building rep already - thatโs a huge W with anxious pups and owners ๐ถโจ Training could be a sick move if u vibe with teaching people too, since behavior work is half dog, half office-politics-with-humans. If youโre feeling boxed in, testing a cert while staying employed sounds like the grind-y but smart play ๐
