Global Trade Compliance Supervisor

I provide global trade compliance support covering export controls, economic sanctions, customs, tariffs, trade remedies, cross-border investment, and supply-chain transactions. I assess transaction structures, review contracts, advise on risk mitigation, operate sanctions screening processes, and respond to customer KYC and compliance inquiries.

I manage government-investigation and customs matters, including CBP audit support, CF-28 responses, customs valuation inquiries, tariff refund initiatives, and post-audit remediation. I also support AD/CVD matters and monitor U.S. trade measures under Sections 337, 232, 301, and 201.

I lead the development of global compliance policies, SOPs, contract templates, training, and compliance health checks. As Assistant to the Chief Compliance Officer, I coordinate cross-functional projects, external advisors, compliance budgets, ISO 37301 and ISO 37001 certification work, and AI tool implementation and evaluation for legal and trade compliance workflows.

I supported legal work involving U.S. export controls, economic sanctions, foreign investment, outbound investment, M&A, corporate restructuring, government investigations, and China data compliance. I provided export control analysis to Chinese semiconductor companies and assisted a Russian oil company with liquidation-related banking authorization matters.

I conducted legal due diligence, drafted and reviewed transaction documents, prepared due diligence reports and disclosure schedules, supported merger control filings, and assisted with Chinese-English document negotiations. My clients included companies in energy, petrochemicals, automotive parts, biopharmaceuticals, software, e-cigarettes, and other foreign-invested sectors.
